Join us for Pangot EARTH WALKS – Walking with the Wind in Pangot, a refreshing early spring morning nature walk in the serene forests of Pangot, nestled in the breathtaking Kumaon Himalaya.
This guided EARTH WALK is thoughtfully designed for beginners, families, students, photographers, and anyone who wishes to experience the magic of Himalayan forests at an easy and enjoyable pace.
Led by naturalist Kundan Kumar, the walk begins from Jungle Lore Birding Lodge and takes you along peaceful oak and pine forest trails rich in birdlife and seasonal forest activity.
As the mountain breeze moves through the forest canopy, participants will observe Himalayan forest birds, learn to identify them through calls and behaviour, and understand how wind, season, and habitat influence mountain ecosystems during early spring.
Getting There
Pangot is located near Nainital, Uttarakhand, and is well-known for its dense oak and pine forests.
By Car: Pangot is approximately 45–60 minutes from Nainital by road. Parking is available around Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.
By Bus: Take a bus to Nainital, then hire a taxi to Pangot.
By Train: The nearest railway station is Kathgodam (approx. 50–60 km). Taxis are available from the station.
