Join us for a free, expert-led birdwatching walk at Sanjay Van, guided by Pankaj Gupta. This session will focus on bird identification, observation techniques, and hands-on training, as part of the Delhi Bird Atlas Winter Survey (1 Nov–31 Dec 2025).
Important Note: This is a pure birdwatching and training session. Cameras are not allowed, as the emphasis will be on observation, learning, and recording data for the Delhi Bird Atlas.
Getting There
Location: Sanjay Van, near Vasant Kunj and Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi.
Nearest Metro Station: R.K. Puram (Magenta Line). You can take a short auto or cab ride to the Sanjay Van entrance.
Driving Directions: If driving, head towards the Qutub Institutional Area or Vasant Kunj. There is a parking area near the main gate of Sanjay Van, close to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT).
Landmark: The entry point is near the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, with signs directing you to the trail.
Weather Conditions
October at Sanjay Van brings pleasant, cool mornings, ideal for a focused birdwatching and training session. The post-monsoon skies are generally clear, offering excellent visibility for spotting birds and observing their behaviour. Comfortable temperatures make it perfect for an engaging outdoor learning experience in nature.
